Breathwork is one of the most ancient and accessible tools for healing. By turning toward the breath, we open a bridge between body and mind — a way to reconnect with ourselves, release what is held, and restore balance.
Among many approaches to breathwork, Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) offers a unique, circular rhythm that bypasses the thinking mind and opens space for deeper healing.
What Is Breathwork?
At its heart, breathwork is the practice of using conscious breathing to bring awareness, regulation, and transformation.
Different forms of breathwork have been used across cultures for centuries — from yogic pranayama to modern somatic practices. Breathwork can be calming, energising, clarifying, or deeply healing, depending on the approach and the intention.

What Is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a rhythmic, circular breathing pattern that helps us soften control and open to what lies beneath. Instead of analysing or pushing, the breath gently carries us into deeper layers of the body and psyche.
CCB can bring emotions, memories, and sensations to the surface — not to overwhelm, but to be felt, integrated, and released. Over time, this repatterns the nervous system, turning life’s jagged edges into steadier rolling hills.
The Benefits of Breathwork and CCB
Breathwork — and especially CCB — can support:
-
Emotional release and integration — softening what has been carried for too long.
-
Nervous system regulation — reducing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.
-
Clarity and insight — accessing inner wisdom beyond looping thoughts.
-
Spiritual connection — a sense of aliveness, expansion, and belonging.
(To learn what happens in a session, see Working With You).
A Trauma-Informed Approach
Not all breathwork is guided with safety in mind. My facilitation draws from Somatic Experiencing® and Core Process Psychotherapy, ensuring that each session honours the body’s pace and supports deep integration.
This means:
-
You are always in choice.
-
What arises can land gently.
-
Healing unfolds with compassion, not force.
This is breathwork — but not as you may know it.
