Somatic Experiencing

Gentle, body-oriented trauma healing and nervous system regulation

A Body-First Path to Healing Trauma & Stress

Do you live with anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm?
Do you feel unsafe in your own body, stuck in shutdown, or always on edge?
Have past experiences left echoes you can’t seem to shake?

Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a gentle, body-based approach to trauma.
Instead of retelling the story, we listen to the body’s language — sensations, impulses, activation, stillness — and give space for what was once unfinished to complete.

Through this work, your nervous system learns it is safe to release stored survival energy and return to balance. Over time, what felt frozen or overwhelming begins to soften.

This approach may help if you are:

  • Living with PTSD or developmental trauma

  • Caught in cycles of stress, shutdown, or hyper-vigilance

  • Carrying tension, pain, or exhaustion linked to unresolved trauma

  • Feeling disconnected from your body or emotions

SE doesn’t force. It honours your pace. Each session is a slow unwinding, restoring the body’s natural rhythm between activation and rest.

I weave SE together with Core Process Psychotherapy and Breathwork for a deeply integrative, trauma-informed path — one that helps you feel safer in your body, steadier in yourself, and more connected to life.

The Nervous System Healing Guide: A Free Resource for Regulation

In a world that often pulls us in a thousand directions, it can feel hard to find steady ground inside ourselves. The body reacts to stress before we even think about it—racing ahead into fight or flight, withdrawing into freeze, or softening into fawn. These states are not flaws. They are intelligent ways the nervous system has learned to keep us safe. But sometimes, what once protected us begins to feel like it controls us. That’s where gentle awareness and simple practices can bring us back to balance. To support you, I’ve created a free Nervous System Healing Guide—a beautifully designed, practical companion for daily life. What is the Nervous System? The nervous system is the body’s communication network. It links brain, body, and environment, sending signals that shape how we move, feel, and respond. At its heart is the autonomic nervous system, which works automatically to keep us safe.
